We developed the design brief working closely with our client to create an improved family home by looking at design ways in which we could increase comfort and ease of lifestyle. As part of the project, we replaced all the subflooring with an under- floor heating system throughout each floor. We also designed the ideal family bathroom, situated on the first floor half landing. The large windows provided plentiful natural light which then bounces off the Calcutta gloss stone slabs on the walls and floors tiles.
The design details in the joinery utilised any awkward, dead spaces doubling the storage area. The main living room bay windows were completed with built in window seats including additional storage with upholstered back and seat cushions. The top floor bedroom with a sloped ceiling presented spatial challenges that we addressed with bespoke cedar lined joinery. The design incorporated a spacious wardrobe with hidden integrated shelving and drawers. We designed further pieces of joinery throughout the home to match, giving the client ample storage, media units and display shelves.
